Technical preparations
for touring musicians

Nowadays, musical acts have the opportunity to greatly simplify their technical preparations when embarking on multi-venue concert tours. The use of a digital mixer is a major advantage. However, in order to establish an accurate general profile of the band’s mix, it is recommended that technical rehearsals take place in a studio that is both large enough to accommodate the full setup and acoustically neutral, offering ideal monitoring conditions.

Creating such a master scene or profile within the digital mixer will later allow for quick and easy adjustments to suit each venue, simply by correcting the room’s frequency response through a general EQ. As a result, soundchecks at the venue will be significantly shorter.
