WELCOME TO EL STUDIÓ!
Above all, the artist and his music

It’s our way of making things work.
We invested in the design, preparation, and equipment of El Studió with the intention of shaping artistic vision to its fullest potential. Just like all the serious studios in Europe do. Just like the artists who want to create music that leaves a mark — and still resonates in the future — aim to do.

Origins

El Studió carries on the tradition of the renowned Traian 150 studio in Bucharest, where, between 2000 and 2015, under the guidance of studio engineer and musician Costin Dumitrache, countless pop and rock tracks and albums were produced — music made by influential artists who wrote history.

The activity of Traian 150 studio was cut short by the Colectiv nightclub tragedy. Many of the studio’s collaborators and friends were injured or even lost their lives in the fire. Among the injured were Costin Dumitrache and Mihai Grecea, the founder of El Studió.

After a long medical recovery, Costin Dumitrache resumed his professional activity, having specialized in mastering in the UK, and went on to found Constantine Mastering — one of the most advanced and best-equipped analog mastering studios in this part of Europe.

The production studio activity was taken over by Mihai Grecea, who founded El Studió, initially in Bacău, in 2022.

In its first phase, El Studió functioned as a pilot project, focused on refining the technical concept and implementing a wide range of equipment.

During its Moldavian chapter, the studio served as a creative hub for Romanian rock, pop, and ethno artists, while also collaborating with talented musicians from several cover bands.

Some of the bands that worked with the studio include: The Groovy Bastards, Driftwood, Rapax, Masked Toys, Playlist, This Cover Band, Evo Band, Vatra, and others.

Starting in the summer of 2024, the studio began relocating to Bucharest, into the former Electronica Industrială / Radio Popular factory space in the Baicului area, and became fully operational in April 2025, in a brand new, spacious location — acoustically excellent, with interior design that inspires creativity and good vibes.

Today, El Studió boasts exceptional facilities, built to meet the needs of every artist. Equipped with an extensive collection of reference-level analog and digital gear, both vintage and modern, the studio lays the foundation for creating top-tier sonic landscapes — on par with elite studios — and plays a key role in producing music that truly stands out.

Its spacious recording and mixing rooms, along with the strategic partnership with the excellent Constantine Mastering studio, provide the ideal environment for producing music at the level of the international studios we all admire.

The studio covers a total surface of 90 square meters.

The live room is 44 square meters with a 4.3-meter ceiling height, fully asymmetrical in design and acoustically optimized, offering versatile configurations and outstanding sound for acoustic instruments and drum recordings.

The mixing room is 24.5 square meters, designed with a reflection-free architecture, acoustically treated with broadband panels and massive super-chunk bass traps. It has an exceptional frequency response even without EQ-based calibration.

Uncompromising Quality

Designed to high standards of acoustic architecture and audio recording and processing technology, El Studió ensures that every project receives the meticulous attention it deserves.

The dedication, talent, experience, and passion of our team make this studio a warm and welcoming place, full of positive, creative energy.
